On Thursday,
Aug. 1, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros delivered an electric performance
as part of the Set Your Life to Music series at The Cosmopolitan of Las
Vegas. The upbeat show came as no
surprise to fans who expected a set full of boisterous and passionate songs
with gospel chorus harmonies, raw, wailing vocals and deep-in-the-pocket
rhythms. The group obliged, performing
crowd-pleasing hits such as “Janglin’,” “40 Day Dream” and “Better Days” to one
of the largest Thursday crowds yet with more than 1,500 fans in attendance.
As
the sun sets over The Strip each Thursday night, the Boulevard Pool deck comes
to life with the energy of Las Vegas during the Set Your Life to Music series.
From the aroma of the outdoor grills to the sounds of hand-crafted cocktails
being stirred, guests can revel in the spirit of music at the intimate outdoor
venue. Doors open at 7 p.m. with celebrated DJ Mike Attack spinning before
headliners take the stage at 9 p.m.
The
Set Your Life to Music series features: Gary Clark, Jr. (August 8); GoldBoot,
The McManus Project and The Dirty Hooks (August 15); Rebelution and Matisyahu
(August 22); Wavves (August 29); Fitz & The Tantrums (September 5); Minus
the Bear (September 12), blink-182 with special guest New Beat Fund (September
19) and The Naked and Famous (October 24).
