To
celebrate The Venetian and The Palazzo's summer long festival, Carnevale, Top
Chef Masters host and chef, Curtis Stone welcomed foodies and fans for an
up-close and personal weekend at his pop-up restaurant inside The Palazzo.
Venetian | Palazzo Executive Chef Olivier Dubreuil joined Stone in the kitchen
to prepare the delicious five-course tasting menu.
Guests, including Curtis Stone's wife Lindsay
Price, began the night with a champagne reception, then were treated to a
five-course tasting menu with wine pairings crafted by the Australian chef
himself.
Throughout the dinner, Stone emerged from the
kitchen to explain the inspiration behind each course. The dishes were created
with thoughts of his father, Australia, and summer. The five-course menu
included Fried Zucchini Stuffed with Taleggio, Seared Scallops in Coconut Lime
Sauce, Roasted Lobster in Corn Butter and Bacon Marmalade, and Spiced Lamb
Chops. The dinner was completed with delectable Peaches with Melted Boucheron
and NY Cheesecake paired with cherries. All of the items served at the "pop-up"
can be found in his cookbook, “What’s for Dinner? Delicious Recipes for a Busy
Life.”
The
evening ended with each guest receiving an autographed copy of Stone’s
cookbook. Guests spent time asking questions about his recipes, Top Chef
Masters, his family, and being newly married.
