New
Sign! A crew from Federal Heath Sign Company transferred and installed the
Terrible's Cowboy from Terrible's Hotel & Casino in the Neon Museum
Boneyard.
The
iconic Terrible’s Cowboy was removed last month from Terrible’s Hotel &
Casino, which is in the final stages of an extensive renovation and rebranding
initiative as the property transitions to become the Silver Sevens Hotel &
Casino. The new signage for the Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino will be
unveiled the first week of July during a special celebration to introduce the
rebranded property.
“We
are delighted to see the Terrible’s Cowboy signage placed alongside signs from
other iconic Las Vegas establishment inside the Neon Museum,” said David Nolan,
general manager for Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino. “Once we decided to
rebrand as Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino, donating the Terrible’s Cowboy
signage to the Neon Museum was an easy decision.”
ABOUT
THE NEON MUSEUM
Founded
in 1996, the Neon Museum is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to
collecting, preserving, studying and exhibiting iconic Las Vegas signs for
educational, historic and cultural enrichment. In addition to an approximately
two-acre Neon Museum campus, which includes the outdoor exhibition space known
as the Neon Boneyard, the museum also encompasses a visitors’ center housed
inside the former La Concha Motel lobby as well as 15 restored signs installed
as public art throughout downtown Las Vegas. Public education, outreach,
research, archival preservation and a grant-funded neon sign survey represent a
selection of the museum’s ongoing projects. Both the Neon Boneyard and the La
Concha Visitors’ Center are located at 770 Las Vegas Blvd. North in Las Vegas.
