Years
of ranch work and rodeo competitions have certainly influenced Oscar-winning singer/songwriter
Ryan Bingham, who brought his bluesy, rock n’ roll tunes to the Boulevard Pool
at The Cosmopolitan last night (Thursday, June 13). Bingham’s road-weary sound
drove the crowd wild, with notable performances of “Southside of Heaven,” and “The
Weary Kind,” Bingham’s Oscar-winning single from the Jeff Bridges film, Crazy
Heart.
As
the sun sets over The Strip each Thursday night, the Boulevard Pool deck comes
to life with the energy of Las Vegas during the Set Your Life to Music series.
From the aroma of the outdoor grills to the sounds of hand-crafted cocktails
being stirred, guests can revel in the spirit of music at the intimate outdoor
venue. Doors open at 7 p.m. with celebrated DJ Mike Attack spinning before
headliners take the stage at 9 p.m.
The
Set Your Life to Music series features: Infected Mushroom (June 20); Tyler
Bryant & The Shakedown (June 27); Twin Shadow (July 4); Makua Rothman (July
11); Elan Atias (July 18); Theophilus
London (July 25); Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros (August 1); Gary Clark,
Jr. (August 8); Rebelution and Matisyahu (August 22); Fitz and the Tantrums
(September 5); blink-182 with special guest New Beat Fund (September 19) and
The Naked and Famous (October 24).
