Hall Of Famer Football's Warren Moon To Award Scholarships To High School Students In Las Vegas

For 25 years, Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Moon has given back to high school students in need around the country by awarding scholarships to ensure their continued education. Moon will be joined by a host of other football legends on Thursday, June 6 from 4:30–6:30 p.m. at the Warren Moon Hall of Fame Scholarship Reception inside SCORE! at the Luxor Hotel Casino Las Vegas.

This year’s six recipients include two local high school seniors, Joshua Mayfield from Las Vegas High School (who will attend UNLV this fall), and Carlos Martin from Chaparral High School; as well as Jared Lebowitz from La CaƱada Flintridge, Calif. (recruited to play quarterback for UNLV this fall); Max Fang from San Diego, Calif.; Meret Fakhory from Los Angeles, Calif.; and Erich Olschewski from South Jordan, Utah.

Additional Pro Football Hall of Famers scheduled to appear and join Moon at the ceremony include Thurman Thomas, James Lofton, Marcus Allen, Bob Griese, Kellen Winslow, Floyd Little, Rod Woodson, and Bruce Smith. Names are scheduled to appear and subject to availability.

Thursday, June 6 from 4:30–6:30 p.m.
