Grammy
award winning guitarist and vocalist Boz Scaggs performed Saturday night at The
Pearl inside Palms Casino Resort. Boz greeted the crowd by saying “Welcome to
the Palms. We spent a couple hours in here earlier and It is a great room to
play in!” referencing The Pearl Concert Theater. The group went on to perform
“Dry Spell” as well as songs from his new album Memphis featuring original and
cover songs including the Willy DeVille song “Mixed Up, Shook Up Girl” which
the group performed flawlessly on stage. Scaggs shared the spotlight with his
band which was spread amongst a large selection of instruments on The Pearl
stage. Opener and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dave Mason set the mood for a
great night of rock and blues performing songs from his solo career as well as
from his time in Traffic.
