Memorial Day Weekend at Fremont Street Experience’s Rock of Vegas summer
concert series that will feature a free show by Fuel and Lit on Saturday, May
25 at 9 p.m. at the 3rd Street Stage. The legendary downtown Las Vegas
entertainment venue will transform into summer’s alternative destination
through Labor Day weekend with a free concert series that showcases a stellar
lineup of bands that take music to the edge.
Fuel
Fuel
burst onto the scene with their 1998 full-length debut album Sunburn, featuring
the massive hit “Shimmer.” Since then the band has sold over 3.5 million albums
in the U.S. and recorded additional top hits including “Innocent,” “Hemorrhage
(In My Hands),” and “Falls on Me.” Fuel has performed sold out tours all over
the world, headlining venues and opening for bands including Aerosmith, Kid
Rock, Creed and 3 Doors Down.
Lit
Fullerton,
Calif. rock band Lit is comprised of brothers A. Jay and Jeremy Popoff, and
lifelong friends, Kevin Baldes and Allen Shellenberger. Their second album A
Place in the Sun spawned three hit singles: “Miserable,” “Zip-Lock,” and “My
Own Worst Enemy.” They rocked Woodstock 1999 and supported the Offspring, No
Doubt and Garbage, spanning the globe and clocking in close to 500 shows
between 1999 and 2000. And riding on its heels, A Place In The Sun’s 2001
follow-upAtomic boasted yet another Top Ten single for the band, “Lipstick And
Bruises,” and a support tour with Kid Rock.
