British
pop sensation Marina and the Diamonds gave Las Vegas a lesson in how to be a
heartbreaker on May 9, at the Boulevard Pool as part of the Set Your Life to
Music series. Channeling the powerful vixen Electra Heart, the character for
which her last album is named, Marina seduced the crowd with her signature pop
prowess. Donned in a retro pink-cutout dress, her outfit only added glitz to
glamour as she performed a number of hits off Electra Heart such as “How To Be
A Heartbreaker,” “Primadonna” and “Fear and Loathing.”
As
the sun sets over The Strip each Thursday night, the Boulevard Pool deck comes
to life with the energy of Las Vegas during the Set Your Life to Music series.
From the aroma of the outdoor grills to the sounds of hand-crafted cocktails
being stirred, guests can revel in the spirit of music at the intimate outdoor
venue. Doors open at 7 p.m. with celebrated DJ Mike Attack spinning before
headliners take the stage at 9 p.m.
