Indie-pop
supergroup JJAMZ took over the Boulevard Pool on May 23, performing
at the Set Your Life to Music series at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
Comprised of James Valentine (Maroon 5), Jason Boesel (Rilo Kiley and Bright
Eyes), Alex Greenwald (Phantom Planet), solo artist Michael Runion and vocalist
Z. Berg (the Like), JJAMZ was formed with a purpose – to create something
completely different from the members’ previous endeavors. The result, proved
by last night’s show, has been a success. Lead guitarist Greenwald brought the
stage to life with catchy, pop-riddled guitar riffs while Berg’s sexy, spry
intensity on tracks like “Heartbeat” and “Never Enough” fixated the crowd
throughout the set.
As
the sun sets over The Strip each Thursday night, the Boulevard Pool deck comes
to life with the energy of Las Vegas during the Set Your Life to Music series.
From the aroma of the outdoor grills to the sounds of hand-crafted cocktails
being stirred, guests can revel in the spirit of music at the intimate outdoor
venue. Doors open at 7 p.m. with celebrated DJ Mike Attack spinning before
headliners take the stage at 9 p.m.
The
Set Your Life to Music series features:
