Ohana
Festival
The
inaugural Springs Preserve Ohana Festival is a family-friendly celebration of
Hawaiian and Pacific Islander culture.
Focusing
on educational activities and entertainment for all ages while highlighting the
importance of ohana (family), the event will feature performances by local hula
halau, beginner hula lessons, lei making, crafts and games for the keiki
(kids), and plenty of ono grinds (great food). The on-air crew from KUNV 91.5
FMs "Little Grass Shack" island music show will serve as emcees and
will broadcast live from the event.
The
festivities will culminate with a concert by the Kalama Brothers, whose debut
CD, "Keau" explores the brothers' Hawaiian roots.
