Sunday,
April 21 Las Vegas’ ‘it’ pool party continued the mayhem of its Grand Opening
weekend with dance music phenomenon deadmau5 as he transformed WET REPUBLIC at
MGM Grand into the ultimate adults-only summer playground.
Kicking
off the festivities was renowned Fergie (DJ) as he manned the decks and had
partygoers on their feet, ready to keep the party going. Arriving around 2:30
p.m. the GRAMMY-nominated turntable sensation made his way to the DJ booth and
prepared for his 2013 daylife debut. Just before 3 p.m. the energy of thousands
of sun-kissed poolgoers began to soar as the mau5head donning icon appeared in
front of the masses. Returning to his home where daylife began, deadmau5
launched his exclusive party “unhooked”
to the daytime destination as he spun his heart –pumping hits, kept the pool decks packed and closed out the
action-packed Grand Opening weekend celebration.
Known
for his infectious music, deadmau5 has paved the path for the electronic music
era. The entertainer became the first electronic dance music artist to grace
the cover of Rolling Stone in June 2012 and gave a legendary performance at the
54th Annual GRAMMY Awards in 2012, marking the first-ever televised celebration
of electronic music.
