LAX
Nightclub inside Luxor Hotel & Casino welcomed legendary rapper and GRAMMY
Award-nominee Vanilla Ice last night (Saturday, April 13) where he performed
for hundreds of adoring fans. Filled with clowns, bling and a brief water show,
the multi-talented artist gave clubgoers a thrill of a lifetime with his
nostalgic hits and iconic dance moves.
Entering the hot spot just after 1:00 a.m.,
LAX Nightclub took their attention to the main stage as DJ Dirty Chopsticks got
on the mic to pump up the crowd before the star’s arrival. With strobe lights
flickering and smog filling the air, the rapper ran onto the stage singing his
heart pumping hit “Dirty South.” After his grand entrance, Vanilla Ice shouted,
“There’s no place like Las Vegas and I’m happy to be here with all of you”
sporting his blinged out, signature “Ice gear.” He then took a moment to
recognize the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle generation” as he had his doting
fans repeating after him shouting, “Go ninja go ninja go!” and began rapping
one of his all-time favorite songs “Ninja Rap.” Joining the rapper on stage was
Vanilla Ice’s “hype clown” who spritzed adoring fans with water on each side of
the main stage, cooling off the amped up crowd.
The multi-talented artist addressed the masses
saying, “Let’s kick it old school,” taking his admirers back to the 1990s with one
of his most popular singles, “Play That Funky Music.” “This next song I wrote
when I was 16-years-old and it sold more than 160 million records,” the rapper
said. “Yo, VIP let’s kick it,” as the crowd collaborated and listened to the
legend’s anthem, “Ice Ice Baby.” The humbled rapper invited a few beautiful
ladies on stage to finish out the song, thanking his admirers and expressing
all of his memories that resonated with the hit song.
Wrapping up this memorable performance,
Vanilla Ice brought down the house with some of his more recent singles “Turn
It Up” and “Rockstar Party.” “Thank you LAX Nightclub!” he said, as he made his
way back to his VIP table.
Also
seen partying at LAX Nightclub last night was an impressive roster of Ultimate
Fighting Championship (UFC) mixed martial artists including Forrest Griffin,
Luke Barnatt and Josh Samman from the hit reality show “ Ultimate Fighter” now
in its 17th season. Hot off her knockout fight from earlier this evening was
UFC’s bantamweight champion Cat Zingano.
Vanilla Ice invited the well-known group to his VIP table located on the
main stage where they celebrated the star’s exciting performance and Zingano’s
win while also posing for pictures with clubgoers.
