Slice of
Vegas, the fresh Italian eatery at The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, launches
several new pizzas, soups and sandwiches, adding flavorful additions to the
restaurant’s signature menu.
Diners
can kick off their meal with Oven-Roasted
Cauliflower Tips with almond pesto and garlic, or swing in
for soup like the Tuscan
Sausage with
mild Italian sausage, russet potatoes and fresh kale in a light cream broth or Pasta Fagoli, made of Ditalini pasta,
navy beans, prosciutto broth, onions, celery, carrots and diced tomatoes.
Dive
into Slice of Vegas’ new signature pies such as the Back East Buffalo, consisting of
tomato sauce and mozzarella topped with chicken tenders, julienned carrots and
celery then finished with a drizzle of ranch and buffalo sauce. The Hurry It’s Curry pizza features a spread of tasty curry sauce with mozzarella and
Fontina cheese and the choice of smoked chicken or a vegetable mix of jicama,
mint and basil slaw while the Choked
Pig pizza is made of pesto aioli, mozzarella cheese, bacon,
artichoke mix and chopped basil finished with whiskey sour cream. For a taste
of the islands, the Hawaiian
5-0 marries
tomato sauce and mozzarella with seared spam, dehydrated pineapple, bacon, dill
and a sprinkle of nori.
Sandwich
options include the Portobello
Philly, combining a toasted hoagie roll with Portobello
mushrooms, peppers and onions, and provolone cheese, and Reno’s Chicken Sandwich on a
brioche bun with grilled chicken breast, arugula, roasted tomato, Fontina
cheese, jalapeño bacon and a pesto aioli spread. Diners can also bite into the Blue Cheese Burger featuring a ½-pound short
rib/chuck patty topped with jalapeño bacon, sautéed mushrooms and onions,
avocado, lettuce and blue cheese on a brioche bun finished with Slice’s “Secret
Sauce.”
ABOUT SLICE OF VEGAS
In April
2012, Slice of Vegas brought a taste of Italian flare to the Shoppes at
Mandalay Place as the second installment from Titan Branding, the company that
brought Hussong’s Cantina to Las Vegas in 2010. Slice of Vegas offers multiple
dining options as guests can choose between tables and booths or grab a quick
bite from the By the Slice counter. The restaurant features a hip jukebox that
diners can control with their smart phone as well as 12 televisions. A full bar
that includes imported and domestic wine and a variety of beer completes the
inviting space. Keeping in line with Hussong’s Cantina, Slice of Vegas offers
great food in a friendly and approachable environment.
Slice of
Vegas is open daily from 11 am – 11 pm and the By the Slice counter continues
service on Friday and Saturday until 2 am. For more information or to make a
reservation, please call 702.632.6470 or visit www.sliceofvegaspizza.com.
