Chipotle
Mexican Grill is offering customers a new way to enjoy their food with the
launch of its catering service in Las Vegas. Chipotle catering allows groups of
20 to 200 to customize their own individual meal the same way they do at
Chipotle restaurants. The company will add catering to all of its markets in
the coming months.
This
spring, Chipotle is giving customers who place a catering order for 20 or more
people a special ‘Graduation Survival Kit’ containing $25 of worth of free
burritos. The kit is perfect for the shining grad who is about to become a
starving college student or the proud parent ready to enjoy their empty nest.
The offer is valid for catering orders placed on the weekend from April 19
through June 30.
“We
are changing the way people think about and eat fast food by offering our
customers better ingredients from more sustainable sources in a way that is
affordable and accessible,” said Steve Ells, founder, chairman and co-CEO of
Chipotle. “With catering, we can now better serve our customers by allowing
them to bring Chipotle into their homes, offices and schools where they can
conveniently and effortlessly share the food that they love with large groups
of people.”
Chipotle
catering offers a Taco and Burrito Bowl Spread that can be ordered with two or
three meats (including Responsibly Raised® grilled chicken or steak, and
shredded barbacoa or carnitas) and comes complete with sides, including
cilantro-lime rice, pinto and black beans, fresh salsas, house-made guacamole,
cheese, and sour cream. Those looking for a snack or a smaller option can
choose Chipotle’s chips and salsa menu with hand-mashed guacamole, fresh tomato
salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, tomatillo-green chili salsa, and tomatillo-red
chili salsa. All options are easy to set up and come with everything customers
need to serve their guests.
For
smaller catering orders (of six or more), Chipotle offers a “Burritos by the
Box” option, which allows customers to mix and match their choice of chicken,
steak, carnitas, barbacoa or vegetarian burritos including white or brown
cilantro-lime rice, vegetarian black beans, mild fresh tomato salsa and cheese.
“Burritos by the Box” orders also include a bag of chips, tomatillo-green chili
salsa, guacamole and sour cream for every two burritos ordered.
To
order, customers can call 800-CHIPOTLE. Orders must be placed at least 24 hours
ahead of pick-up time. Catering customers who return their serving stands to
Chipotle after their event will be given a free entrée card for use on a
subsequent visit. For additional information, visit chipotle.com/catering.
ABOUT
CHIPOTLE
Steve
Ells, founder, chairman and co-CEO, started Chipotle with the idea that food
served fast did not have to be a typical fast food experience. Today, Chipotle
continues to offer a focused menu of burritos, tacos, burrito bowls (a burrito
without the tortilla) and salads made from fresh, high-quality raw ingredients,
prepared using classic cooking methods and served in a distinctive atmosphere.
Through our vision of Food With Integrity, Chipotle is seeking better food from
using ingredients that are not only fresh, but that—where possible—are
sustainably grown and naturally raised with respect for the animals, the land,
and the farmers who produce the food. A similarly focused people culture, with
an emphasis on identifying and empowering top performing employees, enables us
to develop future leaders from within. Chipotle opened with a single restaurant
in 1993 and currently operates more than 1,450 restaurants. For more information, visit Chipotle.com.
