Some Fitness Tips From Body Heat Hot Pilates & Yoga To Get Ready For Pool Season

Marxel Leobez, celebrity trainer and instructor at Body Heat Hot Pilates & Yoga, recommends five fitness tips on how to lose weight and get in shape for the spring break season.

For fitness enthusiasts looking to slim down, Leobez strongly advises drinking a lot of water and up to twelve cups a day. Drinking enough water will help keep the body hydrated and the metabolism balanced. His second tip is to stay away from soda and fruit juices. Drinking soda and fruit juices retains water needs and will make it harder for the body to stay hydrated. Another recommendation he offered was to challenge the body with cardio interval training such as doing aerobic exercises on a regular basis to perspire and boost metabolism in the body.

“The key to really use cardio is to do it within 20 or 30 minute time frames while increasing and decreasing speeds and inclines,” Leobez explained. “The body will benefit more from increased cardio challenges and help improve the cardiovascular system.”

To stay in shape, Leobez also advises not eating after 7:30 p.m. and to eat at least three hours before bed. Lastly, Leobez advises people to set realistic goals and utilize group fitness workouts including yoga, zumba and cycling.
