The ultimate St. Patrick’s extravaganza is
back with Celtic Feis, the annual three-day event at Nine Fine Irishmen and the
Brooklyn Bridge at New York-New York Hotel & Casino taking place March
15-17. Celtic Feis is painting the town green with the biggest celebration of
Irish culture on the Las Vegas Strip – festivities include live entertainment,
specialty cocktails and authentic cuisine. Entry on Friday and Saturday is
free, and admission on Sunday is $25 including a pint of Guinness or a Jameson
shot. The event is open to guests ages 21 and up.
“Celtic
Feis at New York-New York brings together the most energetic Irish bands,
festive libations and authentic food,” said Brent Cook, Executive Director of
Food & Beverage at New York-New York Hotel & Casino. “We look forward
to welcoming guests for a celebration of all things Irish for a memorable St.
Patrick’s weekend.”
On
Friday, March 15, Desert Skye Pipe Band kicks off the festivities at 7 p.m.
with a parade for all ages on the Brooklyn Bridge and through New York-New
York. The parade will be led by an honor guard, and will be joined by a crowd
of police officers, firemen and other service professionals from across the
country. The kick-off will end with a Guinness toast, and nine lucky lassies
will be selected and sashed as honorary Nine Fine Irishmen.
Nine
Fine Irishmen is serving a special Celtic Feis menu for the duration of the
festival with traditional Irish favorites. The menu includes the Fried Sausages
featuring ale battered Irish sausage and spicy red sausages served with
Guinness and honey mustard, as well as Shepherd’s Pie with port wine infused
prime beef, onions and carrots served with mashed potatoes. The full Nine Fine
Irishmen menu will also be available all three days in the upstairs dining
area.
