Tuesday the D Las Vegas and KOMP 92.3 added another “12” to 12-12-12 milestone when
they partnered to throw a mass wedding for one dozen lucky couples. After tying
the knot at Chapel of the Flowers, the newlyweds enjoyed a festive reception,
accommodations in newly upgraded rooms and complimentary tickets to comedy,
murder-mystery dinner show Marriage Can Be Murder at the newly-renovated
downtown hotel.
Recognizing
the time-honored tradition, grooms were forbidden from seeing their brides
prior to the ceremony and each group rode to the chapel in separate stretch
limos. Following the nuptials, the ecstatic couples returned to the D where
they were whisked upstairs to the Detroit Ballroom to join friends and family
for dancing and hors d’oeuvres. Later the twelve couples toasted to their new
lives together and posed for the classic cake-cutting photograph underneath the
neon lights of the Fremont Street Experience before returning to the ballroom
for the remainder of the reception.
Later
in the evening, the couples enjoyed a three-course meal while enjoying the
award-winning interactive comedy and murder-mystery dinner show, “Marriage Can
Be Murder.” After a long day of celebration, the happy couples retreated to
brand new contemporary accommodations inside the D’s new, spacious King Corner
rooms where they were able to enjoy beautiful views of the valley, pillow-top
mattresses, flat-screen TVs, and more.
