Kids Meet Santa, Mail Your Letter To The North Pole! At The Titanic Exhibit!

Everyone knows the story of how RMS Titanic sank 100 years ago, but not many are aware that RMS is an abbreviation for Royal Mail Ship and that Titanic was responsible for transporting more than 7 million pieces of mail over the Atlantic. This year, Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at Luxor Hotel and Casino honors one of the Ship’s primary purposes by collecting wish lists and delivering personalized replies from old St. Nicholas himself, allowing all little girls and boys to sleep soundly knowing their letter has made it safely to the North Pole. To thank The Exhibition for its assistance, Santa will visit The Grand Staircase Dec. 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to personally collect letters and take photos with both the naughty and the nice.

“It is a little-known fact that Titanic was responsible for delivering thousands of sacks of mail for the British postal service,” said Katherine Seymour, Vice President of Public Relations. “I can’t think of a more fitting way to honor The Ship’s legacy during the holidays than to bring smiles to the faces of children with a note from Santa. To make it even more special, the entire family has the opportunity to take a photo with the man himself on one of the world’s most recognized places – The Grand Staircase of RMS Titanic. Here’s to a new holiday tradition!”

If unable to meet Santa in person, there is no need to fret because kids can drop their letters into designated RMS Titanic Letter Boxes located at The Exhibition and at all Yogurtland locations now through Christmas Eve. Children expecting a jovial reply from Santa should be sure to include an email address with their letter.

Guests who bring their personal cameras will be allowed to take a photo with Santa on the Grand Staircase; there will also be an opportunity to purchase photos. Please note that photos will not be allowed in any other gallery. General admission for Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition is $32 for adults, $24 for children and $30 for seniors.  Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with the last tickets being sold at 9 p.m. Become a Facebook fan by visiting Facebook.com and searching “Titanic The Artifact Exhibition.”  Please call 702-262-4400 for more information or visit Luxor.com.
