On
Saturday, December 22, Jessica Roadhouse received an early Christmas gift when
she won Golden Gate’s 2012 Miss Santa’s Helper contest and a cash prize of
$5,000.
Dressed
in their sexiest Santa’s helper attire, female contestants from all around Sin
City acquired holiday tokens from judges using their charm, wit and beauty.
Throughout the night, each judge awarded tokens to the Santa’s Helper they
thought was most deserving of the title and grand prize.
At
the conclusion of the evening, Jessica Roadhouse, Las Vegas Local and teacher
at Hyde Park Middle School, was named Golden Gate’s 2012 Miss Santa’s Helper.
Pursuing her Masters in Multicultural Education, Roadhouse was extremely
excited to win $5,000 to help pay for school.
“I
was shy at first but when I was honest with everyone about my goals for school,
I had a whole team pulling for me by the end of the night. I still can’t
believe it!” said Roadhouse.
About
Golden Gate Hotel & Casino
The
Golden Gate is Las Vegas’ most historic hotel and casino, opening in 1906 at
One Fremont Street. Its legacy spans the
birth of Las Vegas, the Roaring 20s and the Rat Pack era. The Golden Gate
recently completed its first major expansion in 50 years, adding a
35,000-square-foot luxury tower with 16 suites, an expanded gaming floor with a
high-limit pit featuring its signature dancing dealers, and a new lobby
displaying artifacts from its historical past.
The result is an intimate, boutique hotel/casino that is energetic and
contemporary, yet preserves its historic character. It is conveniently located at the entrance to
the Fremont Street Experience with the biggest video screen on the planet—10
stories tall and 4 blocks long, featuring free indescribable light shows. The Golden Gate started a Las Vegas tradition
when it introduced its world famous shrimp cocktail in 1959. What happens in Vegas … started here.
