How
much does Glittering Lights cost? Well, as much as we wish the Glittering
Lights was free for everyone, we have to charge a little something to cover the
expenses. Our sponsors help defray the costs, so be sure and say thank you.
We
charge by the car so the more of the family you can get in it, the better the
value. You should also check out our
calendar for discount nights because of some very special sponsors.
How
many lights will we experience?
Glittering
Lights at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway will feature approximately 2.5 miles of
lights, millions of twinkling lights, making for a great holiday experience for
family and friends. This year, you will see many custom light displays and
never-before-seen lights (as well as some of our old favorites).
Are
there discounts or special offers available on certain nights or for certain
groups?
Yes.
For early birds, the first 15,000 vehicles will receive our exclusive gift bag
that is valued at more than $500 in savings and goodies. Also, we will have
some discounted nights added to our calendar for civic groups. Keep checking
our event calendar and Friend us on Facebook for the most updated information.
Tour
buses are welcome, but must be under 11 ft. high. Admission for buses is $1 per
person with a $20 minimum.
Is
the light park open on Thanksgiving and Christmas day?
Absolutely!
We love holidays and have our gates open from Friday, November 16 through
Sunday January 6 from dusk through 10 p.m. We are open on Christmas-eve and
Christmas day too!
Is
this is same event that was at Sunset Park?
We
celebrated 10 wonderful years at Sunset Park as the Gift of Lights. We packed
our sleigh of lights and goodies to Las Vegas Motor Speedway where we renamed this
event Glittering Lights. Many Motor Speedways across the nation host
drive-through light shows since the facilities are able to handle the logistics
of traffic and of course, they have lots of space! We are an easy 15 minutes
drive from just about anywhere in Las Vegas.
