Three
Square Food Bank, Southern Nevada’s only food bank, kicks off its fourth annual
Fight Holiday Hunger program Monday, November 12 and continues through Monday,
December 31. During this time, through the generosity of Barrick North America,
Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada, IGT and Towbin Automotive, all cash
contributions to Three Square are matched dollar for dollar.
“We
are excited for the return of Fight Holiday Hunger and anticipate that the
local community will once again embrace this program and support those in
need,” said Brian Burton, CEO/President of Three Square. “We are grateful for the generosity of our
four partners and look forward seeing the donations grow over the course of the
seven-week program.”
As
part of Fight Holiday Hunger, Three Square partners with KJUL 104.7 FM (SMI
Radio) and X 107.5 FM (CBS Radio) for two radio-thons.

For
two days, KJUL 104.7 asks its listeners to phone in with their monetary
donations. Similar to telethons, various
prizes will be offered as incentives such as show tickets, dinners and many

For a
third year, X107.5 FM along with its partner, the Ultimate Fighting
Championship (UFC), host a radio-thon in the Wal-Mart parking lot located at
7200 Arroyo Crossing (South Rainbow and 215). Popular morning radio
personalities Dave Farra and Jason Mahoney will welcome special on-air guests,
including UFC fighters, who will be signing autographs and meeting with
fans. X107.5 will be asking for
non-perishable food items and/or cash and check donations to knock out hunger
