Every
year the SuperZoo Convention comes to Las Vegas! The Mandalay Bay Convention is
lined with booths that have everything an animal lover could possibly want and
need! Reptiles are represented as are rabbits, ferrets, fish and felines. If
you are looking for the newest products for your store or if you are an avid
animal lover then SuperZoo is for you! They also have a grooming contest so all
types of dye (not harmful) and cuts are on display!

However
I am a Dog Mom and more specifically Pom Mom so I go to SuperZoo to see what is
new and scout out new and wonderful creative toys, products for canines. Last year one of our favorite items was the www.myluckydoglottery.com game.
Alas we have not won the lottery but SuperZoo did deliver this year. Our
favorite (Lola Belle www.facebook.com/pages/Lola-Belles-Canine-Correspondent-Dog-Thoughts/)
new item was paws down – Muffin’s Halo. This is a custom designed product to
guide blind/visually impaired dogs and safeguard them from bumping into walls
and objects. This really hit home due to the fact that one our little Poms Sadie
has cataracts and cannot see well in the dark. Muffin had cataracts and lost
his sight, but his Mom Silvie Bordeaux did not give up and was determined to
find a solution to Muffin’s new dilemma. After extensive research and much work…Muffin’s
Halo was developed. This product has soft angel wings that sit on the dog’s
neck to protect their head and shoulder area while the decorative halo protects
their heads and shoulders. We as owners know that our dogs are our angels and

Next on
the list, chews! Of course dogs love to chew, but as you know what they chew on
is very important! We stopped by the Paragon Dental Dog Chew booth. Delightful!
They are gluten free, sugar free, totally edible and easy to digest. These chews
are manufactured with the highest standards and are 100% vegetarian. PLUS my
poms loved theirs! They come in several sizes and shapes; the Alligator was a

On the
subject of chews, we purchased some of the Antler chews from Pet’s Choice and
they have not caught on with the Pom pack, so maybe it is a big dog thing? However
the Ultra Chew in Mango and Passion Fruit were a big hit! These had some exotic
sounding ingredients so I would give sparingly.
However Lola Belle and Sadie and Foxy gave
four paws up to the Smart Bones, an alternative to the normal rawhide chews.

are an important part of every day in this household! Even though Lola Belle is
notoriously fickle on what she likes so I was very happy to find a biscuit that
everyone in the pom pack ate! Distinctive Dog treats are all natural, baked

For the ultra-trendy
pup we stopped by the Harry Barker booth. Toys, shampoos, collars and leashes oh
my!! Their products are manufactured with your dog’s comfort in mind. Soft,
durable and safe! Each Harry Barker leash is made from 20 recycled water
bottles so they are green products also. Our foster Buffy loves her Harry Barker toy!
