Project
Dinner Table returns this Saturday with a county fair-themed event created by
Executive Chef Edmund Wong of Bellagio Resort & Casino and Executive Chef
Royden Ellamar of Sensi at Bellagio. The first in Project Dinner Table’s series
of fall dinners will pay homage to the end of summer with a six-course meal and
cocktail pairing.
Chef
Wong and Chef Ellamar will combine their culinary expertise to create a menu
that puts an upscale spin on everyone’s favorite fair foods. Dishes such as
Corn Pups, creamed corn fritters with homemade mustard and Sensi ketchup, Raw
and Grilled Farmer’s Salad with Gilcrease Cider Dressing, succulent Beer Can
Chickens and delightfully gooey Caramel Apples are just some of the dishes
designed to put diners in the fall spirit.
North
Main Street at Town Square, Las Vegas.
Citrus
trees and potted fruit plants provided by Bellagio’s Horticulture department
will line the table along with various flavored popcorns and cotton candy. The
entire street, which is home to Lucky Jeans and Aldo, will be closed off to
traffic for the event creating a true fair-like atmosphere.
This
Saturday, Sept. 8. Cocktail pairings begin at 6:30 p.m.
To
purchase tickets, go to www.ProjectDinnerTable.com. The price: $175 per person.
A
total donation of $4,000 will be made supporting both Safe Nest, a charity that
promotes the eradication of domestic violence and The Shade Tree, a 24 hour
shelter designed specifically to meet the needs of women and children in
Southern Nevada.
ABOUT
PROJECT DINNER TABLE:
Project
Dinner Table (PDT) is a platform connecting people to local community, local
food, skilled chefs and a greater purpose. All participants are treated to a
lavish, family-style dinner, live music, intellectually stimulating
presentations, gift bags and drinks. Based on a social mission and a community
building platform, Project Dinner Table recognizes one or more local charitable
organizations with a donation at each of its events. Since Project Dinner Table
launched in 2010, all dinners have sold and nearly 3,000 guests have been
served. Additionally, the dinners have generated $52,000 that has gone back
into the community supporting different local charitable organizations. For
more information about Project Dinner Table visit at www.projectdinnertable.com,
visit the Project Dinner Table Facebook page or follow on Twitter @Food4Good.
Dates
for the remaining 2012 season dinners are Saturday, Oct. 13 and Sunday, Nov 11.
