August 9, Yellow Ostrich treated the audience at BLVD Social Club - Thursdays
Live at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas to the band’s indie rock style, playing
songs such as “Hold On,” “Bread” and “Elephant King.” The group consists of
singer-guitarist Alex Schaaf, multi-instrumentalist Jon Natchez and drummer
Michael Tapper. Yellow Ostrich is currently signed with Barsuk Records, a label
that has helped catapult bands such as Death Cab for Cutie and Ra Ra Riot to success.
The trio released its fourth studio album, Strange Lands, in March of this year
but have gained popularity from The Morgan Freeman EP, an album inspired by the
actor’s Wikipedia page.

Social Club - Thursdays Live is a sophisticated yet offbeat, original yet

music movement. Taking place Thursday
evenings at the Boulevard Pool, guests can enjoy every amenity at the
one-of-a-kind venue from poolside billiards to unparalleled views from the
North Bar along with exciting live music from a new wave of talent amidst a
vibrant social scene overlooking the heart of The Strip. Guests are encouraged
to use the venue’s three pools but will only be permitted to do so with proper
swim attire.
