TAO
CARES, the charitable arm of TAO Group, continues to give back to the community
and the Three Square Food Bank to help fight hunger in Southern Nevada. TAO Asian Bistro, located inside The
Venetian, will launch an inaugural Restaurant Week Kick Off event called
Bubbles & Buddhas, and both TAO and LAVO Italian Restaurant, located inside
The Palazzo, will feature the year-round pre-fixe menu benefitting Three
Square. Bubbles & Buddhas will take place on Monday, August 27 from 5pm to
8pm in the TAO Lounge with fifty percent of all Champagne sales going to Three
Square. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres that will pair nicely with the Bubbles
will be tray passed as well.
TAO
Group is a long time supporter of Three Square and the restaurants donate
year-round by serving up a special menu daily at both TAO Asian Bistro and LAVO
Italian Restaurant to assist the charity’s mission. Diners are encouraged to
help raise money just by eating out, and can make an extra contribution to the
cause during Restaurant Week by enjoying a three course menu of specialty items
and house favorites at either restaurant. A portion of the proceeds from the $50.12
menus will benefit Three Square and those in need.
TAO
presents three courses of palate pleasing options. Start the feast on a light
note with the TAO Temple Salad with yuzu-soy vinaigrette or enjoy the artistic
construction of the Crunchy Spicy Yellowtail Roll with spicy mayonnaise. Diners
can also choose from Satay of Chicken topped with peanut sauce or the Imperial
Vegetable Egg Roll. Filet Mignon Pepper Steak, Soy Ginger Glazed Salmon with
udon noodles and spinach, Roasted Thai Buddha Chicken and Hong Kong X. O.
Shrimp with Chinese long beans are entrée options, and Chocolate Spring Rolls
with kalamansi dipping sauce, Crispy Fuji Apple Blossoms with Tahitian vanilla
bean ice cream or an assorted pairing of ice creams and sorbets provide the perfect
finish.
LAVO
launches diners into a flurry of rich Italian options on the Three Square
Restaurant Week menu. First course includes a choice of Crispy Fried Calamari
with fresh lemon, parsley and served with spicy marinara, Caesar Salad, Kobe
Beef Carpaccio served with black truffle vinaigrette and rocket lettuce or Kobe
Stuffed Rice Balls with garden peas, mozzarella also served with spicy
marinara. The restaurant’s signature Italian fare is showcased with entrée
selections including Penne Alla Vodka with onions, prosciutto, light cream and
peas, Brick Oven Salmon Oreganato topped with seasoned breadcrumbs, lemon,
white wine and garlic butter, Rigatoni Melanzana made with fresh tomato,
roasted eggplant and bufala mozzarella or Chicken Parmigiano with spicy
marinara and mozzarella. Complete the feast on a sweet note with the choice of
Tiramisu or Raspberry Cheesecake.

ABOUT
RESTAURANT WEEK AND THREE SQUARE
Las
Vegas Restaurant Week began in 2007 as a way to give locals and tourists the
opportunity to help out by dining out. This year marks the sixth annual Fall

fixe prices across the valley. Proceeds from Restaurant Week benefit Three
Square, Southern Nevada’s only food bank. Three Square currently provides more
than more than 24 million pounds of food and grocery product – the equivalent
of nearly 18 million meals – per year to more than 650 Program Partners
including non-profit and faith-based organizations, schools and feeding sites
throughout Southern Nevada. Three Square is a member of the Feeding America
network of food banks. For additional information visit www.threesquare.org or
