1.5 Million Up for Grabs in Pick the Pros’ 35th Season $1 Million Special Prize Makes Debut in Las Vegas’ Longest-Running Football Contest

Pick the Pros, Boyd Gaming’s award-winning football contest, will kick off its 35th season on August 28. And as always, Pick the Pros is completely free!

In addition to the contest’s guaranteed prize pool of $500,000, Boyd Gaming is introducing a new, special cash prize of $1 million, to be awarded to any player who correctly picks at least 196 of the 238 regular-season Sunday and Monday games. Participants must play every week of the season to qualify.

Unlike other football contests, Pick the Pros starts a new contest each week, so players have a chance at sharing in a $30,000 guaranteed prize pool each week (totaling $500,000 in guaranteed prize money over the course of the season).  If there is only one top performer during a given week, that player will receive the entire $30,000 prize pool.  If there is a tie among multiple players, one player (selected by tie breakers) will receive a $10,000 cash prize, while all runners-up will split a $20,000 pool.  Last year, 468 players were awarded cash prizes over the course of the season.

In Pick the Pros, players simply pick winners straight-up (not against the point spread) in each of the week’s professional football contests.  Pick the Pros is also completely free; B Connected membership is required to participate; however, membership is completely free to all adults age 21 and older. Holders of Ruby cards receive three entries each week; Sapphire members, four entries; and Emerald players, five entries.  Only one entry per player per week will count toward qualifying for the $1 million grand prize.

Players can participate in Pick the Pros at selected kiosks at six participating properties: The Orleans, Sam’s Town, Suncoast, Gold Coast, California and Fremont.
