One
month after Mayor Goodman and Councilmember’s Proclaimed June 20th Flightlinez
Day in Las Vegas for donations made to local charities amounting to more than
$200,000, Flightlinez
unveils their proven geodesic tower design with a Las Vegas style flair to act
as a beacon for the ongoing re-vitalization of Downtown Las Vegas.
With
the success of Fremont Street Flightlinez and the unique socially minded
business model and partnership with Fremont Street Experience and the City, the
decision to fund and build a permanent system on Fremont with Flightlinez Las
Vegas is the logical choice for Las Vegas.
The
Flightlinez permanent tower design incorporates a unique stand alone tower
system that has been proven in such challenging locations as the shorelines of
Haiti to the hilltops of Rwanda and has now been engineered to be the
foundation for Flightlinez and Fremont's continued success as the premiere
zipline attraction on earth.
With
over 200,000 donated to charity and approaching a million riders, Flightlinez
is pleased to be able to present to the FSE Board, the City of Las Vegas and a
world of visitors a spectacular Vegas style tower design that will be the
standard for ziplines around the world.
The
tower design was originally created as a minimum impact structure to provide
access to pristine rainforests around the world. This minimum impact design is
key to the continued success of
Flightlinez
on Fremont as the installation can be carried out with minimal disruption to
Fremont Street visitors and the Fremont Street Experience, allowing the
momentum to carry on as visitor and locals
continue
to discover or re-discover the flavor and thrill of Fremont Street Experience, be it on the street or
through the air.
