Tacos
& Tequila (T&T) at Luxor Hotel and Casino will celebrate National
Tequila Day with Milagro Tequila specials all day long on Tuesday, July 24.
Tequila
lovers will enjoy Milagro Silver and throw back 2-for-1 Top Shelf Margaritas
and Blueberry Smash cocktails as well as $5 Milagro Tequila shots. Served on
the rocks with a salted rim, T&T’s Signature Top Shelf Margarita is blended
with organic agave nectar, Grand Marnier and delicious house-made margarita mix
topped with fresh lime juice. The Blueberry Smash cocktail is a smooth
concoction made with fresh lime and mint, muddled with blueberries and topped
with spice from ginger beer.
From
11 a.m. to 11 p.m., amigos will throw back summer tequila flights, priced at
$15. The flights will include three shots of tequila and allow guests to choose
from five different tequilas including Jose Cuervo, Cabo Wabo, Don Julio, Avion
and Patron. Hard-core fiesta goers will enjoy the “Macho Borracho” special with
the option of six carne, carnitas or chicken tacos, six Sol beers and six Jose
Cuervo shots, priced at $59. During all
of the tequila mayhem, the restaurant will also offer $5 Jose Cuervo shots from
2 to 6 p.m.
Named
one of the best tequila bars of 2011 in America by USA Today, T&T embodies
the cool modernism of Mexico City while incorporating traditional elements of
Mexican style and Las Vegas flair. The color mixture of old and new creates a
vivid picture of brushed aluminum, dark wood, leather, bright fabrics and
colored glass. The focal point of T&T’s design is its abstract sombrero
composed of 20 brushed-aluminum panels featuring thousands of laser-cut images,
including two 30-foot dancing, tequila-drinking skeletons. Lit from within, the
breathtaking panels stretch across the entire length of the restaurant floor
and across the common area, connecting the T&T retail store and walk-up
daiquiri bar.
