As
the weather gets warmer, Executive Chef Saul Ortiz heats up happy hour with new
specials at Tacos & Tequila (T&T).
And, to make sure no guest gets left out of the fiesta, Chef Ortiz also
has created new all day specials sure to keep the party going every week day at
Luxor Hotel and Casino.
T&T’s
new happy hour specials feature half-off starters including Guacamole, Queso
Fundido, Nachos, Quesadillas, Chicken Tamales and Tostadas, Beef Flautas and
Corn on the Cob. While enjoying the delicious food specials, guests will toast
with $5 Dos Equis, Jose Cuervo shots, well drinks, sangria and house red and
white wine, in addition to $18 buckets of Sol.
T&T
also has created all day specials every Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to
11 p.m. The summer tequila flights, priced at $15, will include three shots of
tequila and allow guests to choose from five different tequilas including Jose
Cuervo, Cabo Wabo, Don Julio, Avion and Patron. The “Seis y Seis” package
includes a choice of six carne, carnitas or chicken tacos and six, 7-ounce Sol
beers for $29. For T&T amigos looking to have a good time, the “Macho
Borracho” special features the choice of six carne, carnitas or chicken tacos,
six Sol beers and six Jose Cuervo shots, priced at $59.
Named
one of the best tequila bars of 2011 in America by USA Today, Tacos &
Tequila embodies the cool modernism of Mexico City while incorporating
traditional elements of Mexican style and Las Vegas flair. The color mixture of
old and new creates a vivid picture of brushed aluminum, dark wood, leather,
bright fabrics and colored glass. The focal point of T&T’s design is its
abstract sombrero composed of 20 brushed-aluminum panels featuring thousands of
laser-cut images, including two 30-foot dancing, tequila-drinking skeletons.
Lit from within, the breathtaking panels stretch across the entire length of
the restaurant floor and across the common area, connecting the T&T retail
store and walk-up daiquiri bar.
