Friday
night reigning NHL champions the Los Angeles Kings along with the Stanley Cup
continued celebrations in Las Vegas at Hyde Bellagio. After dining at Sensi
inside Bellagio Resort & Casino, the team was greeted at the sleek, new
nightclub by Hyde cocktail servers outfitted in LA Kings tanks and referee
skirts, carrying giant letters spelling “K-I-N-G-S.” L.A. Kings in attendance
included Jeff Carter, Brad Richardson, Trevor Lewis, Jarret Stoll, Jonathan
Bernier, Alec Martinez and Drew Doughty among many others.
The team
made their way into the crowded club as “Eye of the Tiger” blasted and black
and white LED lights emblazoned the space with King’s colors. DJ G-Squared
announced to a surprised crowd, “Ladies and gentlemen, let’s give it up for the
L.A. Kings! That’s the Stanley Cup right there!,” as Hyde’s costumed servers
escorted the men to a plush booth below the club’s dramatic fireplace. Settling
into the booth, the group enjoyed champagne and cigars while players took turns
hoisting the cup high overhead to the delight of fans. The group posed for
pictures with fans and shared swigs of beer from the top of the massive Stanley
Cup. Later in the night, Hyde presented the team with a replica Stanley Cup
cake so large it had to be wheeled to the table. The players continued partying
at Hyde into the wee hours – long after the Cup headed home for its early 1
a.m. curfew.
