DJ Richie Hawtin sipped sake and savored some of the Las Vegas Strip’s best
sushi at Shibuya at MGM Grand. Hawtin, a certified sake sommelier, is a
constant innovator in the world of electronic dance music, first famed for his
influence popularizing “Techno” in the ‘90s in Detroit – the birthplace of
genre. Hawtin and his guest first settled in to the intimate and vibrant dining
room before sampling sake from Shibuya’s extensive collection of over 125
sakes, including three exclusive private labels. He will perform a unique set
at Electric Daisy Carnival this weekend.
