The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas will
officially mark the opening of Carnevale on Monday, June 11 at 7 p.m. The
special event will preview all facets of the season-long Italian-inspired
celebration, from food and wine to music and art, as well as unexpected
surprises along the way.
As the
first of many special events scheduled throughout Carnevale, the June 11 grand
opening will take place at The Venetian’s grand Doge’s Palace plaza. Highlights include:
· Iconic performance speed painter
Salvador Live!, who will create unique and awe-inspiring masterpieces to the
beat of music while breakdancing and interacting with the crowd
· The melodic sounds of world-pop violin
trio Alizma
· A cast of Carnavale “lighted”
characters that will mingle with visitors
· Carnevale-inspired food and beverage
offerings
The
evening will also feature a countdown by a secret celebrity to the Grand
Finale: an inaugural showing of the “Light of Venice” 3D light spectacular,
during which the façade of the Clock Tower will illuminate in a visually
stunning light performance that seemingly brings the building to life.
Celebrate
the magic and fantasy of Carnevale this summer, featuring three months of
classic Italian festivities, including new experiences, entertainment, art,
music and wine from June 4 to Sept. 9. For more information on Carnevale,
