After
his nearly paralyzing neck injury and American Idol comeback performance, the
multi-talented Jason Derulo took the stage again Friday, June 8 at Palms Pool
& Bungalows for a high-energy performance at the popular Ditch Fridays pool
party at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
In an
interview before his performance, the singer, songwriter, actor and dancer
discussed his recovery saying, “I’m able to look at life so differently now,
you know. Even coming out here, it’s like a beautiful thing.” Derulo suffered
an acute fracture to his vertebrae in January, the result of landing on his
head during rehearsals for his international tour. He also confirmed he is
working on his third album right now which incorporates more collaborations
with his friends.
When
Derulo took the stage, he had all the ladies swooning when he performed a
medley of his chart-toppers ‘Whatcha Say’, ‘Ridin’ Solo’, ‘In My Head’, ‘It
Girl’ and more. Day-clubbers rushed to the stage to dance through the entire
performance which finished with a champagne shower from the Palms Pool girls.
