Dress
for Success Southern Nevada, an affiliate of the international non-profit
organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women, is
hosting The Power Walk for Dress for Success in Las Vegas this Saturday, June
2, with 5K and 1-mile walk options.
The
Power Walk takes place in 40 international cities and promotes active, healthy
lifestyle choices for women and families, serving as a “walking testament” to
the inextricable link between personal health and professional success.
Dress
for Success Southern Nevada has partnered with the Las Vegas chapters of Weight
Watchers for this year’s inaugural fundraising walk which will help support
local programs that empower disadvantaged women and their families in Southern
Nevada to achieve financial independence, wellness and self-defined success.
Registration
is now open for both the 5K and 1 mile walks and costs $25 per person. Online
registration is available at The Power Walk for Dress for Success website. For

Local
sponsors for the event include Wells Fargo Bank, Bank of America, Weight
Watchers, Las Vegas Color Graphics and The Today Foundation. The cast of “Tony
n’ Tina’s Wedding” will also be at the event.
Weight
Watchers members from across Southern Nevada will be walking in support of
Dress for Success.
