Rain or
shine the Wine Walk on April 14th took place at Town Square in Las Vegas. This event benefits New Vista which was founded
in 1984 by three sets of parents of intellectually challenged children, the
first program, New Vista Ranch, Inc. was created. In 1987 the Gilcrease
brothers donated 15 acres of land to the charity and this gave New Vista the
platform to build their first 4 homes.
New
Vista is a non-profit organization that develops programs to meet the needs of
each individual by providing a stable foundation, empowering the people we
support, and enriching the lives of our supporters. Since people with
disabilities require different levels of support, we tailor our programs to
meet their varied goals towards independence. New Vista touches the lives of
everyone involved: our staff, the Board of Trustees, our supporters, the
families of each supported individual, and everyone that comes into contact
with them. Their triumphs touch all of us deeply.
Attendees
mingled and sipped wines donated by Lee's Liquor and munched on food donated by Town Square Restaurants
Tommy Bahamas and Coconuts Beach Bar & Mexican Grill. Some of the food
items Coconuts dished up, fresh Ceviche
and chicken taquitos, cheese quesadillas’ along with Coconut’s famous Grandma’s
Guacamole! People loved the fresh Mexican food and registered to win a free “Birthday
Party!”
