Feast
Buffets at Station Casinos’ properties and Festival Buffets at the Fiestas will
offer a special menu in honor of the Jewish holiday of Passover in addition to
its existing food stations. Passover commemorates the story of Exodus, when the
Jewish people were freed from slavery in Egypt and were forced to flee. As a
result, bread that was being prepared for their families did not have an
opportunity to rise, making way for the symbolic eating of unleavened foods for
the holiday. Through the generations, a number of foods have become tradition,
and will be offered the first two nights of the week-long holiday including:
Brisket
Charoset
(mixture of apples and nuts)
Matzah
brei (matzah and fried egg mixture)
Potato
latkes
Beet
horseradish
Coinciding
with the beginning of the holiday, the menu will be offered for breakfast,
lunch and dinner on April 6 and 7. There is no additional cost for Passover
specialty items. They are subject to availability and may change without notice
at the discretion of management.
