"Take a Flying Leap" with Flightlinez and support JDRF!

Flightlinez zipline attraction, Fremont Street Experience, JDRF

Flightlinez and the Fremont Street Experience will donate all revenues from zipline rides on Wednesday, Feb. 29 from noon to midnight to JDRF.

This leap year, support JDRF, an organization that grows by leaps and bounds every day in their search to find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D).  Encompassing every stage of type 1 diabetes, JDRF-led research strives to find better treatment options; hopes to one day prevent type 1 through vaccines and other therapies, and ultimately find a cure.

Leap year happens every four years, but did you know…

·         Every four years more than 60,000 children are diagnosed with T1D

·         Every four years there are about the same number of adults diagnosed with T1D

·         Every four years, on average, a person with diabetes has poked their finger to check their blood sugar around 8,000 times

·         Every four years $59.6 billion dollars are spent in diabetes healthcare costs

The money raised from every leap taken will go to help fund research to put an end to T1D. Join JDRF in the fight to end this terrible disease and tell type 1 diabetes to please “take a flying leap!”   

Flightlinez is committed to serving the Las Vegas community by hosting charitable fundraisers throughout the year. The monthly events have been a great way to put the “fun” back in fundraising for so many charities during tough economic years. In early 2011, Flightlinez and Fremont Street Experience began hosting these monthly events and have donated nearly $200,000 to various charities.
