Birthday Wish: for Tim Tebow to Dance on “Dancing With The Stars”
Teri Polo |
When Karina Smirnoff arrived
at Sugar Factory American Brasserie www.sugarfactory.com at Paris Las Vegas
last she was greeted by a sweet birthday surprise, her "Dancing With The
Stars "co-star, Mark Ballas.
Ballas, fresh off of hosting
the Miss America pageant at Planet Hollywood, was joined by fellow judge and
good friend, Kris Jenner at a private event in the Chocolate Lounge at Sugar
Factory full of Hollywood A-listers including actress, Teri Polo, designer and
socialite, Faye Resnick, and Lara Spencer from Good Morning America.
Jenner and Resnick were both
dressed in black Dolce & Gabbaba, Jenner in a full-length sequined gown and
Resnick in sexy, form-fitting silk. Polo wore a stunning white Herve Leger
gown, while Ballas showed off his off-dance floor style in a Giorgio Armani
tuxedo.
Not one to make much of her
birthday, Smirnoff was surprised by close friends with an elaborate birthday
celebration that began with dinner at the bustling brasserie. “All I want for
my birthday is for Tim Tebow to dance on “Dancing With The Stars,” said
Smirnoff. She then went on to say that as a New York native, she is a Jets fan,
first. But, like many Americans, she was rooting for the Denver Broncos yesterday.
“Tim Tebow played so hard,” said Smirnoff, “and I know that so many fans all
across the country are so proud of him!” With the Broncos and the Jets out of
contention, she is now rooting for the New York Giants.
Dinner started with a few
shared items, some of Smirnoff’s favorites, including fried macaroni &
cheese pops and creamy artichoke and spinach dip, and she enjoyed pan-roasted
Pacific salmon with grilled asparagus for her entrée. Knowing that Smirnoff is
a fan of cupcakes, her friends ordered an oversized cupcake assortment that
included red velvet and Oreo cookie, as well as a decadent chocolate fondue
sampler complete with freshly baked Rice Crispy treats and chocolate chip
cookies.
The lovely ladies made their
way to Sugar Factory’s adjacent retail shop following dinner, where the group
selected an assortment of sour candies and jelly beans. Smirnoff graciously
stopped to hug and sign autographs for fans as she explored the celebrated
sweet spot.
Following dinner the birthday
party made its way to Gallery Nightclub (www.gallerylv.com), where the ladies
enjoyed cocktails and danced the night away. Smirnoff greeted and waved to her
fans as she danced atop one of Gallery’s oversized booths. In for one more
surprise, Smirnoff grinned ear-to-ear with excitement when the Pussycat Dolls
presented her with a mirrorball birthday cake. Smirnoff wore a multi-colored
form-fitting Sheri Hill sequined dress and Christian Louboutin shoes, with
makeup by Girlactic Beauty.
