Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas Stiletto Dash with Brook Burke! Who won??

Television personality, Brooke Burke, joined hundreds of runners as they strapped on their high heels and ran down a 50-yard red carpet for a good cause at the first ever Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Stiletto Dash presented by The Palazzo Las Vegas.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Stiletto Dash began at the luxurious grand lobby of The Palazzo and finished near Laguna Champagne Bar.  Spectators packed the casino floor and cheered on several hundred participants.  Runners were decked out in fabulous outfits to complement their heels, and competed in multiple heats. This included a special men’s round and celebrity wave won by Olympian Suzy Favor Hamilton.

First place winner Melissa Sanders, a Las Vegas 3rd grade school teacher, received a $5,000 first-place purse, a gift certificate to Canyon Ranch SpaClub at The Palazzo, and other exciting prizes.  The event benefitted two charities: Opportunity Village and Operation Smile.  Each participant received an exclusive gift bag and was invited to attend a post-dash party at First Food & Bar.  For more information, please visit www.StripatNight.com.

Opportunity Village is a local Las Vegas-based not-for-profit organization that serves people with intellectual disabilities, and Operation Smile is a nonprofit that treats facial deformities such as cleft lips and palates worldwide. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Stiletto Dash kicked off the largest nighttime running event in the world, the Zappos.com Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon & 1/2 Marathon to benefit the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, taking place on Sunday, December 4th.
