"Reindeer Rock" needs you!! Volunteers and toys and more needed!

Reindeer Rock" has partnered with Toys for Tots to host one of the single largest gift-giving distribution event to families in need this holiday season on Sunday, Dec. 18. Comprised of local volunteers, "Reindeer Rock" will fulfill its mission of spreading holiday cheer to underprivileged youths for the third consecutive year by passing out toys donated by the Las Vegas community to over 2,500 local children.

Families will gather at "Reindeer Rock" for complimentary holiday fun including face painting, inflatable bounce houses, a complimentary photo opportunity with Santa, holiday crafts, live music, dance performances, snacks and beverages, and presents donated through Toys for Tots

Underprivileged children are invited to celebrate the holiday season at "Reindeer Rock". This event is not opened to the public; children must be signed up in advance.

Registration is free but must be completed online by Wednesday, Dec. 14. Sign up to attend "Reindeer Rock" and receive gifts may be completed at www.reindeerrock.com.

Sunday, Dec. 18, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Bill & Lillie Heinrich YMCA (near Meadows Mall)
4141 Meadows Lane Las Vegas, NV 89107

"'Reindeer Rock' is dedicated to providing a safe and entertaining experience for underprivileged youths during the holiday season. This event was created three years ago after realizing the overwhelming need to provide deserving youths with toys during our holiday season, and also present them with a unique, child-friendly day to remember as 'their Christmas'," said Jim Lambright, co-founder of "Reindeer Rock".

It is the goal of "Reindeer Rock" to make this a special day each child can actively participate in with a full schedule of activities. All too often, families and children stand in line waiting only to receive a gift. The 2011 "Reindeer Rock" will consist of a full day of events for the children as they wait to receive their presents, providing a fun-filled celebration of the holiday season.

The 2011 "Reindeer Rock" event will exceed previous years' distributions by over 650 children. The year- round planning for this special gift-giving experience aims to continuously grow this event to one day reach every underprivileged child in the Las Vegas region.

2009:    885 children received toys
2010:    1,850 children received toys
2011:    2,500 children projected to receive toys

"Reindeer Rock" is still in need of caring volunteers to donate time, supplies and/or toys.

Gift wrapping materials, holiday decorations, food and beverages, holiday arts and craft materials may be delivered to the Bill & Lillie Heinrich YMCA Mon. - Thurs. 6 a.m. - 8 p.m.; Fri. 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.; and Sat. 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

150 volunteers are needed to execute pre-planning and day-of events. To sign-
