Pat DiNizio, who gained fame
as lead singer of The Smithereens, announces the launch of his latest project,
an in-depth look into his journey from garbage man to platinum selling artist,
entitled Confessions of a Rock Star at Riviera Hotel & Casino. The
production is a hybrid of a one-man show, rock concert and multimedia event
currently happening six nights a week Wednesdays – Mondays (dark Tuesdays)
beginning at 7
p.m.
Confessions of a Rock Star
covers DiNizio’s 32-year career in rock and roll and pays homage to his musical
heroes, including Buddy Holly and The Beatles. A live band performs the hits
that shaped DiNizio’s childhood and all of the chart-topping songs that he sang
with The Smithereens. Video screens showcasing rare film footage and photos
accompany the musical journey from small town life in New Jersey to rock and roll stardom.
The Smithereens hit the rock
charts with “Blood and Roses,” Behind the Wall of Sleep,” “Only a Memory” and
“A Girl Like You”. The band recently released their 20th album, Smithereens
2011, which has spawned the hit radio singles “Sorry” and “One Look at You”.
Tickets to Confessions of a
Rock Star can be purchased at the Riviera box office, online at www.RivieraHotel.com or over
the phone at 702-794-9433. Ticket prices are $29.95 and the show is being held
