On October 14th,
Margaritaville Las Vegas at the Flamingo will attempt to break the current
World Record for the largest margarita ever made as verified by Guinness World
Records. After 3 days, and over 300 man hours of cocktail making, the
two-story margarita, appropriately named “Lucky Rita” will celebrate its final
pour at 5
O’clock making it the World’s
Largest Margarita at an astounding 8,500 gallons.
Following the final pour,
Margaritaville will host a ceremony featuring an oversized salty margarita
toast (the first drinks from Lucky Rita) with representatives from
Margaritaville, Flamingo Las Vegas executives and members of the Wounded
Warrior Amputee Softball Team. Parrotheads along with the public and
media are encouraged to attend the event where all guests will be treated to
entertainment, margaritas and Jimmy Buffett concert giveaways.
All part of the opening
celebration of the new Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo in Las Vegas,
Lucky Rita will kick off Margaritaville week followed by the 7th
Annual Street Parties on the 15th and 22nd that coincide
with Jimmy’s Vegas performances. Beginning at 11 a.m. each Saturday, the all-day, outdoor free admission street party
will offer guests a taste of Lucky Rita and will include live entertainment,
interactive games, great food and drinks along with exciting giveaways from
Margaritaville sunglasses, flip flops, and frozen concoction makers to Jimmy
Buffett concert tickets. Information about the two street parties will continue
to be updated on Margaritaville.com.
In addition to the onsite
festivities Margaritaville will also debut Margaritaville Online at the October 15th
Street Party. Guests can virtually escape to a tropical island getaway in THQ’s
innovative and humorous Facebook and iOS social game Margaritaville Online.
Inspired by the laid-back, tropical paradise lifestyle of singer-songwriter and
author Jimmy Buffett, friends will be able to party and play in an immersive
3D-perspective utopia with familiar island music, entertaining games, unique
adventures and more! Send your friends delicious fruit drinks and relax by the
beach while fending off party pirates, participating in mini-games and building
your very own oasis. Margaritaville Online is developed by Exploding
