Fensler headed to the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s! June 11 NASCAR K&N Series West O’Reilly Auto Parts 200
Jason Fensler is coming to the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to compete in the June 11 O’Reilly Auto Parts 200 NASCAR K&N Series West event. The prestigious
series has served as a springboard for such notable NASCAR drivers as Kevin Harvick, 1990 Daytona 500 winner Derrike Cope, Chad Little, Ron Hornaday Jr., David Gilliland and Las Vegas’ Brendan Gaughan.
Fensler, the 2005 SRL Southwest Series champion has two wins in just five starts in NASCAR K&N Pro Series West competition. His most recent victory was earned at Roseville, Calif. on April 16, aboard the Terri Cass-owned No. 59 Chevrolet.
Although the 35-year-old racer hails from Elk Grove, Calif., his car will carry local sponsorship: Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall. His team competes on a limited schedule due to sponsorship constraints and of course hopes a win in Las Vegas will result in additional backing.
“The entire Team Cass Racing team is looking forward to Las Vegas,” said Fensler. “Roger Bracken, our crew chief, has prepared another great race car. Las Vegas has that short-track style, but it also has banking and that makes the track a pretty fast place. The last time I raced at The Bullring was in 2006 in a Super Late Model. I look forward to racing there again to see what these K&N
Pro Series West cars can do on that track. After our victory in Roseville at All American Speedway, being mentioned in the Hunter Index was a great honor for me. To be mentioned with some of the best talent across the country just shows how strong Team Cass Racing is. Roger and the entire team work hard at each and every race and I can't thank them enough for their efforts.”
NASCAR’s Hunter Index ranks the top drivers in the nation in its developmental series.
Fensler also has earned track championships at Mesa Marin Raceway (Bakersfield, Calif.), Altamont Raceway Park (Tracy, Calif.) and Stockton (Calif.) 99 Speedway.
Fans may obtain free tickets for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 200 by purchasing K&N products. Fans who purchase a new K&N Wrench-Off air filter at their local O’Reilly Auto Parts store will receive two free tickets.
