With more than 20 albums and countless hit singles like “I.O.U,” “It Turns Me Inside Out,” “Somebody’s Gonna Love You” and “Dixie Road,” Greenwood’s distinctive voice, insightful lyrics and unparalleled showmanship has earned him countless awards including two Male Vocalist of the Year awards from the Country Music Association. While growing up on a farm near Sacramento, California, Greenwood began studying music at a young age, learning to play an astounding 10 instruments.
Today Greenwood continues the tradition of songwriting as he embarks on two new recording projects. Having recently completed a collection of pop standards in “Proven,” including Ray Charles’ “I’m Busted” and Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time,” he has proved he is a versatile musician and performing artistic. Greenwood is staying true to his country roots as he works on a new album that will introduce him to younger mainstream country fans.
