Movies for Movie Lovers tonight at Frankie's Tiki Room!

Movie enthusiasts are encouraged to gather at Frankie’s Tiki Room for Late Night Cinema with exclusive back-to-back films and popcorn at 4 a.m. every Thursday night. Beginning in Sept., the CineVegas Film Festival will host select Late Night Cinema viewings throughout the month with films featured during the Festival’s 11-year history

Thursday, Sept. 17* Blue Velvet Blue Velvet is a 1986 American mystery film, written and directed by David Lynch, that exhibits elements of both film noir and surrealism. The film features Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini, Dennis Hopper and Laura Dern. The title Blue Velvet is taken from the 1963 Bobby Vinton song of the same name. The film was highly acclaimed by critics. Bubba Ho-Tep Bubba Ho-tep is the title of a novella by Joe R. Lansdale which originally appeared in the anthology The King Is Dead: Tales of Elvis Post-Mortem, and was adapted as a 2002 horror-black comedy film starring Bruce Campbell as Elvis Presley - now a resident in a nursing home. The film version also stars Ossie Davis as Jack, a black man who claims to be John F. Kennedy (explaining that he was patched up after the assassination in Dallas, dyed black, and abandoned by Lyndon Johnson.) The film was directed by Don Coscarelli.

Frankie’s Tiki Room also offers late night specials 3 – 8 a.m. daily. During this time, guests may purchase ANY shot plus ANY beer for $5 and all well drinks for $2.50 each. In addition, guests who win any four-of-a-kind (loaded, excludes wild cards) are awarded $10 in gamblers bonus cash. Guests may also enjoy Aloha Fridays, where they can unwind with Frankie's original Aloha Cooler for only $4 from 4-8 p.m. In addition, guests wearing a Hawaiian shirt during Aloha Fridays get their first drink at half price.
