American Casino & Entertainment Properties Donates $20,000
and Thousands of Dollars Worth of Supplies to Local Schools
through their Community Connections Program
Community Connections, a charitable program run through American Casino & Entertainment Properties, LLC, (ACEP) donated $20,000 as well as thousands of dollars worth of supplies to their four adopted local schools. Throughout the month of August, employees at all four of ACEP’s properties (Stratosphere Hotel & Casino, Arizona Charlie’s Decatur, Arizona Charlie’s Boulder and Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin, Nev.) collected thousands of desperately needed school supplies such as paper, pencils and glue.
Community Connections discovered the great need for funding of additional activities and items such as school assemblies, field trips, and books and made the commitment to donate $5,000 to each of the four schools. The adopted schools – John C. Fremont Middle School, Doris Hancock Elementary, Will Beckley Elementary and Coyote Canyon Elementary received the donation at a special dinner held in their honor at Stratosphere on Wednesday, September 2.
ACEP also reached out to its various vendors and asked them for their support – Logo Apparel, Brady Industries, Rapid Computer Supplies, Waxie Industries, Guest Supply, Cintas Uniforms and Office Max all answered the call with items such as pallets of paper, hand sanitizer, polo shirts and fleeces, cash and gift cards.
