Celebrate National Parks & Recreation Month in Nevada ’s Parks & Recreation Departments
The National Recreation and Park Association has declared the month of July as National Recreation and Parks Month, and encourages all Americans to celebrate by getting involved with their local parks and recreation facilities. National Recreation and Parks Month has been celebrated every year since 1956.
July is the busiest month of the year for the parks and recreation industry. More than 75 percent of the U.S. population, over 190 million people will take advantage of their local parks and/or recreation facility
Nevada has many recreation opportunities for one to explore; from Clark County Parks & Recreation Department to the Washoe County Parks & Open Space. Spending the day at the park is not only great for your wallet, it's great for your health! Get outside, pack a picnic, play on a playground, enjoy your local outdoor pools and relax in the sunshine!
