Do You Like To Play BINGO? Newly Renovated Room At The Plaza!

Home to the only bingo room in downtown Las Vegas, the Plaza Hotel & Casino debuted a renovated bingo hall on Sept. 27 to give guests an even better bingo experience and will offer higher prize amounts for its upcoming Super Bingo tournaments in October and December.

Located on the third floor of the Plaza, the bingo room will be refreshed with new carpet, chairs, and tables with 200 fixed base electronic bingo units and offer more charging stations and electrical outlets for guests to use. To celebrate the updates, the Plaza’s bingo room will offer free cake and champagne to bingo players at the 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. bingo sessions on Monday, Oct. 2

The Plaza holds Super Bingo tournaments every two months that draw nearly 1,000 people from all over the country to compete head to head with no linked games. For the final two Super Bingo events of 2017, occurring Oct. 8-10 and Dec. 3-5, the Plaza will raise each tournament’s prize amount to $200,000 with a daily $50,000 coverall.

Players come from as far away as Hawaii and Canada to Super Bingo to win big and socialize with like-minded bingo players. The Plaza Hotel & Casino offers a “bingo only” package for $130 that includes registration for the two-day Super Bingo tournament and complimentary lunch each day as well as “room-and-bingo” packages that start at $239 for a three-night stay. Super Bingo players also enjoy an open bar during all of the tournament sessions. Super Bingo registration is available online.

Already offering the highest payouts in the valley, Bingo at the Plaza will increase prize amounts with a new $10,000 CashBall bonus, resulting in up to $13,500 in bonus CashBall prizes per session, every day. High prizes and payouts coupled with a fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere has made bingo an important part of the Plaza experience and an integral part of the property’s continued success.

As bingo attracts new players all the time, the Plaza will host complimentary lessons on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, beginning Oct. 3, at 10:15 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. The 15-minute lessons will be led by the Plaza’s bingo ambassador, Reynz Ungos, who is tasked with ensuring all bingo guests feel at home and have a great time. Advocates support mandatory labeling laws for food made from GMOs.  The initial march took place on May 25, 2013. Events took place in between 330 and 436 cities around the world, mostly in the United States. Many protests occurred in Southern California, and some participants carried signs expressing support for mandatory labeling of GMOs that read "Label GMOs, It's Our Right to Know", and "Real Food 4 Real People". Canal said that the movement would continue its "anti-GMO cause" beyond the initial event. Samurai Warrior Exhibit Coming To The Bellagio Gallery Of Fine Arts

Honoring the culture, lifestyle and art of the samurai warrior through centuries of Japanese history, Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art (BGFA) will unveil its new exhibit, Samurai: Armor from the Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Collection, on November 3.

The exhibit includes more than 50 pieces of samurai armor from the Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller collection, and will feature full suits of armor, helmets, weapons, horse armor, masks and more. The exquisitely crafted pieces represent the evolution of the samurai warrior’s appearance and equipment spanning 600 years from the 14th-19th centuries. During this time period, Japanese society recognized the advancement of the samurai as a great honor: from archers and swordsmen to an elite class of warriors respected for their military skills, refinement and intellect.

Samurai: Armor from the Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Collection will feature objects that were used both for combat and ceremonial purposes. The pieces convey the complete story of the samurai, a part of the intellectual Japanese elite who not only fought in battle, but also practiced poetry and calligraphy.

“With each of our exhibits, we look to curate compelling collections that combine elements of history and culture, allowing guests to not only view stunning art pieces, but also learn about the context and significance,” said Tarissa Tiberti, executive director of art and culture for MGM Resorts International. “The upcoming exhibit of Samurai: Armor from the Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Collection will embrace a vibrant Japanese art form so rich in tradition, history and creativity, unlike anything we’ve debuted before at Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art.”

This exhibit encompasses the entirety of samurai history to allow the visitor to see the evolution of armor as warfare progresses from bows and arrows to swords and guns. Intricate pieces such as lacquered metal helmets adorned with crests, and delicate, detailed armor capable of protecting the samurai in brutal combat, will be on display. Inside the gallery, visitors will experience the masterful craftsmanship of each object and the historical context of the samurai as they walk through this historical epoch in Japanese culture.

“It is the combination of art and armor, the boundless creativity of the objects’ forms, and the aesthetics used by these fierce and cultivated warriors that drew us in to assemble our collection," said Gabriel Barbier-Mueller.

BGFA’s current exhibition, I Am The Greatest: Muhammad Ali, will close September 30 to make way for Samurai: Armor from the Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Collection. The new exhibit will be on view November 3, 2017 through April 29, 2018.

Tickets to BGFA are $18 for adults; $16 for Nevada residents, seniors 65 and older, and students, teachers and military with valid ID. Children 12 and younger are free. For groups of 10 or more, the gallery offers special pricing of $12 per person. For additional information, call (702) 693-7871 or (877) 957-9777, or visit bellagio.com/bgfa.

BGFA is open daily 10 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Last admissions are sold 30 minutes prior to closing. Guests may enjoy complimentary daily docent tours at 2 p.m., and private docent tours are available at an additional cost.

Hakkasan Nightclub Attracts Star Rappers & Artists

French Montana, Juicy J and Travis Scott
On Saturday, Sept. 23 the stars were out at Hakkasan Nightclub inside MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, as Wiz Khalifa, Louis Tomlinson, French Montana, Bebe Rexha, and Juicy J came to the premier venue to catch Travis Scott’s electrified performance.

Tomlinson, who arrived at 12:45 a.m. with an entourage of 18 guests, was fresh off his performance at the star-studded iHeartRadio Music Festival earlier in the night. The “Back to You” singer, who was dressed casually in dark denim jeans and a black graphic t-shirt, was seated at a VIP table where he enjoyed cocktails and mingled with his guests before leaving close to closing time.

Meanwhile, chart-topping hip-hop artist French Montana entered the packed nighttime hot spot at approximately 2:30 a.m. with 10 guests, which included fellow rapper Juicy J. The two moguls were reportedly in the venue to watch Travis Scott’s performance. The hit-makers seemed to be in high spirits as they sipped on cocktails throughout the night at their VIP table. Later in the night, during Scott’s set, the two surprised the energetic audience when they jumped on stage to hype up the crowd as Scott performed his latest hits. The energy in the room was unbelievable when the DJ dropped “Unforgettable” as Montana and Scott danced and sang along to the top track together.

Wiz Khalifia
The party didn’t stop there as Wiz Khalifia and Bebe Rexha also arrived at the venue at around 3 a.m. Khalifia, who was in town to headline at Downtown Las Vegas’ Life is Beautiful Festival, brought a group of eight guests to the exclusive nightclub. Dressed in a flannel and baseball cap with several gold chains, the “Something New” rapper was seen enjoying cocktails and spending time with his girlfriend, model Izabela Guedes, for most of the night at his VIP table next to the DJ booth. Khalifia clearly enjoyed Scott’s high-energy performance as he was seen dancing and interacting with the crowd. Additionally, Rexha, who looked stunning in a bodycon pink dress, arrived with seven guests after performing earlier in the night at the iHeartRadio Music Festival with Tomlinson. The two were at the same VIP table for most of the night, as Rexha also stopped by Montana’s table to say hello to the rapper. Rexha appeared to be in high spirits as she sipped on cocktails and jammed along to Scott’s unbelievable set before leaving well into the early hours of the morning

Get Your Tix To Musical Project "East Of Eli" At Fremont Country Club

Famed actor and singer/songwriter Nathan West brings his stunning musical project East of Eli to the Fremont Country Club on Saturday, Sept. 30 alongside his wife, featured singer, and “Supergirl” star Chyler Leigh. The power duo step onstage together for an out-of-this-world performance of heavy synths and melodic vocals with supporting acts State to State and Las Vegas’ very own Almost Awake and Youth Fables. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the show beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets for the show are available now at www.smashmagazine.com or www.tickeyfly.com.

East of Eli is the stunning musical project from singer/songwriter Nathan West. Blending cinematic folk, pop melodies and modern electronic sound, East of Eli has been garnering both critical and popular acclaim since its formation in 2014. To date, East of Eli has released two singles off its upcoming album Lost Transmission.

On Feb. 14, 2017, East of Eli dropped its first single entitled, “Nowhere,” a love letter to West’s wife Chyler Leigh (“Supergirl,” “Grey’s Anatomy”), who makes her singing debut on the track, providing angelic harmonies throughout. The arrangement proves stunning, highlighting catchy melodies, soaring guitars, and deep synths, a reminder of their devotion to one another despite the challenges that come with both having careers in entertainment. The song debuted on People.com and spread worldwide.

East of Eli’s second single “Child’s Play” received commercial success, debuting on the iTunes Top 25 Dance Chart, the song detailing feelings of falling in love for the first time. It also features Leigh on back vocals. The electro pop anthem is an emotional coming of age story with West brilliantly detailing the confusion, excitement, and anticipation of first love. West confides “the reason behind the song was to help my son navigate the next five years of his life as he winces ever closer to the ‘coming of age’ years in his life. I felt sharing my experience would give him a much needed insight and perspective on what he may expect and let him know he has someone on his side that can relate to on his own journey.”

“Nowhere” and “Child’s Play” are off of East of Eli’s upcoming release Lost Transmission. Lost Transmission thematically draws its influence from all the transmissions sent to outer space in hopes of connecting with other intelligent life. It’s symbolic in nature of releasing a new album or song. The title track, “Lost Transmission” was written for West’s son Noah who is diagnosed with ADHD and autism. The song is an anthem intended to capture his son’s undivided attention to break through to the truth and beauty of who his son is becoming in spite of his own day-to-day struggles. The new album is the evolution of that journey, with songs dedicated to all three of his children, his wife, and himself.

East of Eli has received critical acclaim with American Songwriter Magazine noting West as an artist on the rise as well as being featured in such high-profile outlets as People Magazine, Hollywood Life, New York Post, Hallmark Channel’s “Home and Family,” and more. East of Eli has also found success selling out top venues in the U.S. including Los Angeles’s Troubadour and New York’s Knitting Factory as well as headlining a sold out European tour in such cities as Paris, London, Berlin, Zurich, and more including a special performance at Liverpool’s famed Cavern Club where they received their ceremonial brick and future residency.

Race Results From Kids Candy Grab At The Bullring At LVMS

It was a sweet night for California’s Jeremy Doss at the Keith Danser Kids Candy Grab at The Bullring on Saturday.

The Upper Lake, Calif., driver made his trip to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway short track count, doubling down to win both 35-lap NASCAR Super Late Models features on a cool and windy night. Doss, The Bullring’s 2014 Open Comp winner, was using the evening to test a new car in advance of the Oct. 21 Senator’s Cup Fall Classic, which will be highlighted by the Super Late Models 150.

Clearly, he liked what he saw and felt from the race car. “This is a brand new car, and that’s why we brought it here today to the local show to get her dialed in for the Open Comp race,” said Doss, who won the second race by 8.238 seconds. “We have a really good car. She showed a lot of speed in that last race, so I’m really looking forward to (the Oct. 21 event).”

Chuck Deguevara created a family trifecta of sorts when he joined son, Joe, and grandson, Ethan, as a Bullring winner. The elder Deguevara took the first NASCAR Super Stocks race of the evening after finishing .598 of a second ahead of Matt Larsen to earn his maiden voyage to the Winner’s Circle.

The second NASCAR Super Stocks feature also had a familial storyline, with Justin Kiser joining his brother, Jason, and father, Fred, as Bullring winners. Justin finished 2.351 seconds ahead of Matt Cunningham to take his first Bullring checkered flag. “I’d like to thank my brother, Jason, who pretty much paid for everything tonight,” Justin Kiser said. “I was the fastest car in the first feature, but I just couldn’t get around (the track) well. I got a good start on this one and just ran my line.”

Sam Jacks appeared to have won his third consecutive NASCAR Bombers race, but was disqualified after failing post-race tech inspection. His brother, Kyle, is credited with the victory after finishing second in the 25-lap event.  Divisional points leader Aaron McMorran led the field until falling out of the race with engine trouble on lap 17.

Payton Garofalo held off points leader Tyler Fabozzi by .073 of a second in a wreck-marred USLCI Legends 25-lap feature to claim his first career win at The Bullring. Garofalo weathered two re-starts after lengthy delays caused by a pair of multiple-car wrecks that sent several cars to the pits early.      “This feels awesome, it’s great,” Garofalo said. “I just had to focus and keep my mind set on what was in front of me and around me. I had to set my line well and make a good run at it.”

Points leader Ron Reed continued his dominance in the USLCI Thunder Cars division, winning for the eighth time this season by nearly nine seconds. Reed is poised to win his first Bullring track title when the regular season concludes in two weeks.

In the USLCI Bandolero division, Camden Larsen won his seventh Outlaws race of the season to extend his points lead and Amilleo Thomson took the checkered flag in the Bandits feature.

NEXT RACE: Eight season titles will be decided on Championship Night at The Bullring on Saturday, Oct. 7. It will be the final regular-season event at the short track for 2017.

Grab A "Poppy Burger" After Watching "Kingsman The Golden Circle"

This fall, guests can combat hunger at Hard Rock Cafe by sinking their teeth into a blockbuster-inspired burger offered in partnership with MARV Films and Twentieth Century Fox. In celebration of the upcoming release, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Hard Rock is offering the new Poppy Burger at select locations around the world including Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas Strip now through Friday, Oct. 6, 2017. The Poppy Burger is a dangerously delicious take on the man-made burger prepared by the motion picture’s villain, Poppy, played by Julianne Moore.

“As godson to Hard Rock Cafe’s co-founder, Peter Morton, you can certainly say that I’ve always been a fan of the Hard Rock brand,” said Matthew Vaughn, Film Director and Producer of the Kingsman Series. “My first job was a bus boy in the Hard Rock Cafe and it is a brand that I will always love for the fond memories it gave me. I feel privileged they are now my partners.”

While sinfully enjoyable, in no way is this burger made with Poppy’s preferred ingredients! Hard Rock’s limited-time menu item begins with a juicy half-pound Certified Angus Beef® burger, basted with a bourbon whiskey glaze and topped with pulled pork, melted cheddar cheese, garlic aioli, crisp lettuce and vine-ripened tomato.  Served on a sesame seed bun with a side of Golden Circles (onion rings), this burger is sure to impress both food and movie critics!

“Thanks to director, producer and long-time Hard Rock fan, Matthew Vaughn, Hard Rock’s latest collaboration is one of our most exciting and we are honored to work with such an incredible film,” said Stephen Judge, President of Cafe Operations at Hard Rock International. “The limited-time Poppy Burger allows fans to take their love for the film to the next level, and is the perfect excuse for dinner and a movie.”
