The Golden Nugget Has Frankie Moreno And They Are Keeping HIM!

Golden Nugget Las Vegas is proud to announce Frankie Moreno as the luxury resort's resident headliner through August 2017. Following the strong opening of his six-show limited engagement on Thursday, March 2, the property quickly locked Moreno in to perform at The Showroom weekly Thursdays and Saturdays.

"Frankie Moreno is a truly remarkable talent that we're excited to welcome as our resident headliner," said Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer Rikki Tanenbaum. "The high energy and musical prowess that have made him a staple in the Las Vegas entertainment landscape can now be seen weekly at Golden Nugget Las Vegas."

Moreno's show features the talent of Tony Moreno (bass), Alec Zeilon (guitar), Mike Zerbe (drums), Rob Lyons (guitar), Fabricio Bezerra (saxophone), Pete Bresciani (trumpet), Jim D'Arrigo (baritone saxophone), Crystal Robinson (vocals), Ashley Kellough (vocals), and Markevius Faulkner (vocals).

For Moreno, the move seemed to be in the stars: "When we started performing in Las Vegas nearly 15 years ago, one of the early gigs I booked was in the Rush Lounge at Golden Nugget. There was this indescribable but palpable energy performing there. To return as the resident headliner seems somehow cosmic and feels electrifying."

A night of enjoying Moreno's unparalleled fusion of old-school soul with modern rock and roll does not end at curtain call. Ticket holders will have the opportunity to follow the musician to a Rat Pack-style after party at an undisclosed location on property to be announced at the end of each performance. Among the libations that will flow is the "Frankie More-tini," a play on the traditional Cosmopolitan that Golden Nugget has dedicated to Moreno.

The artist, who made his national debut at the age of 10 on "Star Search," has toured and written songs for audiences around the world. His eponymous debut album achieved nationwide success following a rousing rendition of the self-penned single "Tangerine Honey" on "Dancing with the Stars."

Moreno recently released his latest album, "One Night Only." He has performed sold-out concerts at esteemed venues including Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and The Hollywood Bowl, and recorded a PBS special, "Frankie Moreno in Concert." In addition to racking up accolades in Las Vegas including "Best All-Around Performer" (Las Vegas Review-Journal) and "Best Strip Headliner" (Las Vegas Weekly), Moreno garnered an Emmy nomination for his nationally televised special, "Songs at Home."

Frankie Moreno will perform Thursday, March 16 and Thursday, March 23, before kicking off his extended residency in April, when he can be seen weekly Thursdays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. in The Showroom at Golden Nugget Las Vegas through August. Tickets are now on sale and available at GoldenNugget.com/LasVegas or by calling or call (866) 946-5336.

You Must Try The Sundae Of Champions At CREAM! TASTY!

Sundae of Champions
Vegas is heating up! You know what that means; time for ice cream! If you are ready for some home made delicious ice cream head on over to CREAM which has two locations in the Las Vegas Valley. One in Summerlin and one on Eastern. Pretty much everyone is familiar with a sundae and a banana split. At CREAM they take ice cream desserts to an entire new level. For a limited time, the Sundae of Champions is available. This sundae was created for the 2016 summer Olympics and was very popular.  So popular that it is back! What makes this sundae stand out? You start with your choice of cookie, ten varieties available, then you choose a scoop of ice cream, over twenty to choose from, then you add a crumbled brownie, regular or with walnuts, then another scoop of ice cream, then topped with a do’sant (mini croissant donut) which has a mini scoop of more ice cream. Top this decadent deliciousness off with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles!

I started off with the a warm snickerdoodle cookie topped with a scoop of Cin-Ful Churro ice cream then had the walnut brownie. My second scoop of ice cream was Caramel Cinnamon Cream and I had my do’sant stuffed with a mini scoop of Pistachio Delight. What a sundae! You will need a huge appetite to finish the entire delicious dessert.

Should your tastes run to simpler ice cream delights; sundaes and scoops are available. You can even have an ice cream taco or a milkshake or a creamy ice cream float. Gluten free cookies and vegan cookies are available. So go ahead, INDULGE at CREAM!!

Lucky Fan Couple Win Ultimate Race Weekend For NASCAR!

Credit One Bank, the Official Credit Card of NASCAR and one of the largest and fastest growing issuers of credit cards in the United States, recently awarded the Ultimate Race Weekend to a lucky NASCAR fan and his wife. In January, NASCAR fan Aaron R. from Grapevine, TX won the Credit One Bank Ultimate Race Weekend sweepstakes, which included two tickets to a 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series® (MENCS) race of their choice, a VIP experience and behind-the-scenes tour, roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations and $1,000 spending money. Race fans were eligible to enter the sweepstakes from mid-October through Dec. 31, 2016 by visiting CreditOneBank.com/NASCAR to see if they pre-qualified for the Official Credit Card of NASCAR. All existing Credit One Bank NASCAR Visa primary card members automatically received one entry into the sweepstakes.

In its second season as an official NASCAR sponsor, Credit One Bank has also expanded its relationship with Chip Ganassi Racing by partnering with Kyle Larson and the No. 42 team during the inaugural Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season.

“We are excited to grow our support this season and cheer on Kyle Larson,” Faulkner continued. “We look forward to another great season of racing.”

It's Coming! Restaurant Week To Help Three Square Food Bank!

Three Square Food Bank’s Las Vegas Restaurant Week returns for its 11th annual event June 19-30, 2017.

Three Square Food Bank encourages restaurant owners and chefs to “save the date” and register early for the 12-day culinary event. Interested restaurants should contact Three Square’s Kari Goldberg at 702.644.3663 ext. 332, or kgoldberg@threesquare.org.

During Las Vegas Restaurant Week, participating restaurants across Southern Nevada develop prix-fixe menus – some offering breakfast, lunch and/or dinner – at price points ranging from $20 to $80, with a fixed portion of the meal’s cost donated to Three Square.

“The Las Vegas restaurant community is renowned and respected all over the world for its innovation, quality and unparalleled customer service,” said Brian Burton, president and CEO of Three Square. “Three Square’s Las Vegas Restaurant Week demonstrates yet another aspect of the restaurant community’s excellence, helping to raise funds and provide food to the hundreds of thousands of hungry residents in our community.”

Approximately two weeks before Las Vegas Restaurant Week begins, the mobile-friendly website helpoutdineoutlv.org will launch, providing a complete list of participating restaurants, prix-fixe menus and directions on how to make reservations.

In 2016, Las Vegas Restaurant Week saw record-breaking numbers. The 12-day event welcomed participation from more than 170 restaurants and raised nearly $185,000 in donations to feed hungry people in Southern Nevada. In 2017, the highly anticipated culinary experience returns June 19 and concludes on June 30.

One hundred percent of the proceeds collected from this year’s participating restaurants will benefit Three Square and its mission to provide meals to more than 296,000 food-insecure residents in Southern Nevada.

Las Vegas Restaurant Week began in 2007 as a way to give locals and tourists the opportunity to help out by dining out. 2016 marked the tenth year of Las Vegas Restaurant Week, which features a variety of fine dining experiences throughout the Valley. Proceeds from Restaurant Week benefit Three Square, Southern Nevada’s only food bank. Three Square currently provides more than more than 40 million pounds of food and grocery product – the equivalent of more than 33 million meals – per year to more than 1,300 community partners including nonprofit and faith-based organizations, schools and feeding sites throughout Southern Nevada. Three Square is a member of the Feeding America network of food banks. For additional information visit www.threesquare.org or www.helpoutdineoutlv.org.
