Wanna Karaoke? Get Your Song On At Rockhouse Las Vegas

Rockhouse Las Vegas, the “ultra-dive bar” inside the Venetian, is celebrating their tenth anniversary in Las Vegas, and they want guests to join in the celebration by hitting the stage for live-band karaoke, Thursday nights from 9 p.m. - midnight. And because even rock stars need help picking a song sometimes, Rockhouse reached out to some local celebs, immortalized on their Las Vegas Icon Wall, who know a thing or two about celebrating a decade in Las Vegas.

Want to mimic Terry Fator’s go-to karaoke jams? Pretend you’re TJ Lavin singing U2? And would you be brave enough to sing “The Star Spangled Banner” on karaoke night like one prominent local?

Here are a few suggestions to get you started:

-          Terry Fator – “Shameless” by Garth Brooks; “Fly me to the Moon;” “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran

-          Absinthe’s The Gazillionaire – “Mo Money Mo Problems” by The Notorious B.I.G.

-          Oscar Goodman – “Home Means Nevada;” “The Star Spangled Banner;” “My Way;” “Viva Las Vegas”

-          T.J. Lavin – “With or Without You” by U2

-          Frank Mir – “Ain’t No Grave” by Johnny Cash

-          Wayne Newton – “Viva Las Vegas;” “Johnny B. Goode;” and (of course) “Danke Schoen”

In true rock star fashion, Rockhouse Owner and President of Fine Entertainment Management, Jonathan Fine, proposed to his now-wife at Rockhouse’s karaoke night, so you never know what may happen. (Don’t believe us? Check it out: http://bit.ly/2gesTss) Rockhouse knows that not everyone happens to be a natural born rock star, but that doesn’t keep former professional BMX rider and TV personality T.J. Lavin from having a good time.

“I don’t sing, but I’ll rap the hell out of any 80s track,” said Lavin. “U2’s ‘With or Without You’ is a classic that I have to play whenever we go to karaoke with my boy Kenan Harkin.”

Try warming up – or finding some liquid courage – with one of Rockhouse’s drink specials; in any given month, guests can enjoy $2 domestic drafts and well drinks, $1 off featured draft beers, and $25 buckets of five bottles including of rotating select domestic and imported craft beers.

Corey Feldman & Bride To Be "Angel" Courtney Celebrate Upcoming Nuptials

Corey & "Angel" Courtney
Actor and singer Corey Feldman celebrated his recent engagement to fiancĂ©e “Angel” Courtney Anne Mitchell in true Vegas fashion with a lavish joint bachelor and bachelorette party at Chateau Nightclub & Rooftop at Paris Las Vegas late last night.

Feldman & Franco
The couple arrived shortly after midnight with a small entourage of friends. Feldman opted for an all-black look, pairing black jeans with a black button-up and a black suit jacket with sequined lapels, accessorizing with dark sunglasses. Mitchell looked every bit the stunning bride-to-be in a backless, white lace cocktail dress with rhinestone details.

The couple cozied up and partied the night away in a lavish VIP booth at Chateau, complete with panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip.

Known for his roles in “The Goonies,” “Stand by Me” and “The ‘Burbs,” Feldman is currently working on the relaunch of his music career with the debut of his recent collaboration “Go 4 It” with Las Vegas local, Snoop Dogg. His former rock band, Truth Movement, produced the hit “Ascensions Millennium.” Mitchell models and as also performs as DJ AC on the turn tables.

Feldman recently ignited some controversy over his engagement, stating that he popped the question to ensure that Mitchell, a Canadian citizen, would not be deported under the Trump administration.

Also spotted at Chateau last night was USBA featherweight boxer Daniel “Twitch” Franco. Franco, belt in tow, celebrated his first title fight win—a fifth-round knockout against Derrick Murrary—at Chateau with bottle service and Strip views.

hateau is open Wednesday nights, the club’s industry night, as well as Friday and Saturday nights, from 10:30 p.m. until close. Two New Beauty Queens Crowned! Miss Nevada & Miss Nevada Teen

Miss Nevada
Miss Nevada Teen
The Miss Nevada USA organization has crowned the new Miss Nevada USA 2017 and Miss Nevada Teen USA 2017 at the pageant hosted at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Lauren York of North Las Vegas was crowned Miss Nevada USA 2017 and Alexis Smith of Summerlin was crowned Miss Nevada Teen USA 2017, respectively.

The two new beauty queens were crowned by the previous titleholders, Miss Nevada USA 2016 Emelina Adams and Miss Nevada Teen USA 2016 Carissa Morrow. The pageant featured contestants who were judged in three areas of competition, including: interview, swimsuit and evening gown for Miss Nevada USA contestants; and interview, athletic wear and evening gown for Miss Nevada Teen USA contestants. In the end, York and Smith were the judges’ picks.

As Miss Nevada USA 2017, 22-year-old York hopes to bring awareness to the community about the harms of driving under the influence, and continue her advocacy for the organization Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). Her hobbies include traveling, modeling and empowering others to see beyond society’s ideals of beauty.

As Miss Nevada Teen USA 2017, 17-year-old Smith hopes to give back to the community and empower other teenagers. Smith loves opportunities that involve leadership. In her spare time, she runs a YouTube channel, is a Student Ambassador for her school, volunteers at her church’s coffee shop and enjoys singing.

Throughout their reign, the newly crowned beauties will help give back to the community, working with charities and becoming fashion icons while modeling the latest fashions at red carpet events. They will also represents the Silver State at the national level at the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA competitions next year.

The Miss Nevada USA and Miss Nevada Teen USA pageants serve as official preliminary competitions to the country’s renowned pageant system, the Miss Universe Organization, owned by the WME-IMG Talent Agency. With an annual pageant held in November, two new titleholders are chosen to represent the great state of Nevada. Executive state director, Shanna Moakler, brings her experience as a TV star and former Miss USA to Nevada. Since Moakler joined the Miss Nevada USA organization in 2012, the pageant has received a complete makeover, giving Nevada notoriety with two Top 5 placements and a Top 10 placement at Miss USA. Miss Nevada USA 2014, Nia Sanchez, was crowned Nevada’s first ever Miss USA and was named first runner up at Miss Universe.
